Shuttle vans will run between the conference hotels and the UCSB campus each morning and evening. A fee of $20.00 will cover the use of the shuttle vans for the duration of the conference.
The locals usually like to fly into and out of the Santa Barbara airport which is conveniently located about a mile from UCSB. United, American and several other airlines fly into this airport with connections to San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver. Often you can book a flight to Santa Barbara for not much more than a flight to Los Angeles. If, however, you prefer or if it is more convenient you can fly into Los Angeles (LAX) and take the Santa Barbara Airbus (805-964-7759) to Santa Barbara. (It is about a 90 minute drive, depending on LA traffic conditions). Here are driving instructions for getting to UCSB.
